Tibet was opened for tourists in 1985 AD. Before this it avoided outside influence and developed its unique culture and religion independently. Extreme, remote, and isolated behind the formidable Himalaya, the world’s highest mountain range Tibet is a fascinating world of timeless splendor, unique traditions and breathtaking scenery, which awaits all travelers.
