Itinerary In Detail

  • 1: Arrive Dhaka

    Welcome at Dhaka International Airport and transfer to designated hotel. If time permits half day city sightseeing tour will be offered or free time at your own.

  • 2: Dhaka –Sreemangal via Sonargaon (200 km, 6 hrs drive approx.)

    After breakfast drive to Sreemangal. On the way, visit Sonargaon, the ancient capital of Golden Bengal where the world famous and finest “Muslin” was produced.  Visit to ruins of Panam city and Goaldi Mosque (500 years old). You can enjoy the Folk-art Museum with a panoramic garden & lake view if time permits.

    Then drive continues to Sreemangal. The road journey through the Asian highway will be memorable & attractive with wonderful natural view of countryside, village markets and rivers. Upon arrival, transfer to designated hotel and overnight.

  • 3: Rain Forest and Tribal Village Tour

    Early Morning explore the Lawachara rain forest, a reserved forest for conservation of wildlife. In this beautiful rain forest you can walk through the majestic standing trees which are unexploited for centuries. One can easily find out wild animals like –Caped Langurs, Slow Loris, Yellow Throated Martin, Hillock Gibbons, Asian Black bear, Rock Python and many beautiful birds like –Oriole, Barbet, Hornbill, Hilly Moyna, etc. Hillock gibbon is one seriously endangered higher primate that lives in this forest. Enthusiastic travelers have got the opportunity to undertake long walk through the forest’s trail for few kilometers leading to a Khasia Punjee at the outskirts of the forest. Visit the Khasia tribes and take a deep look at their lifestyle by exploring interior tribal village inside the forest.

    Afternoon, visit Monipuri tribal villages & enjoy their lifestyle.

    Stay overnight at Sreemangal.

     

  • 4: Sreemangal –Sylhet (100 km, 3 hrs drive approx)

    Start driving to Syhet at morning. Transfer to hotel upon arrival and get fresh.

    Afternoon; explore  the city –visit Surma River Bank, Clock Tower, Circuit House and the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (Rah).

    Stay overnight Sylhet.

  • 5: Swamp Forest and River Cruise Tour

    Have early breakfast by 07:30 am. Then drive to Hadarpara Bazar. Then walk through the bazar to Eidgah Ghat and take a motor boat for Bisanakandi. It will take 40-60 minutes cruise to reach the designated place. Bisnakandi is an area near India- Bangladesh border. There is a hilly tiny river flowing from the hills of Meghalaya. The area is surrounded by hills covered with thick green vegetation. The stream flows through stones as usually found in this part of Sylhet. The atmosphere here is electric. During monsoon the beauty of this place is at its pick.

    Back to the same point and drive to Guwain Ghat. Clear visit permission from forest office and take a local boat for 1-2 hour cruise inside the forest. Ratargul Swamp Forest is a little Pantanal in Bangladesh. It is also called as Amazon of Bangladesh or Deshi Amazon or you can say Banglar Amazon. It is an evergreen and mystic forest as well as one of the best freshwater swamp forests in this world. The traveling taste of Ratargul is like to visit the Sundarbans but the water is not salty like Sundarban. Various wild animals and birds live here and wander from branch to branch of trees. The forest is about 26 kilometers from Sylhet city. The total area of this wetland is about 30 thousand 3 hundred and 25 acres. In that wetland, Ratargul forest is in 5 hundred and 4 acres. During the rainy season, the forest goes under water of 20-30 feet and the water level is about 10 feet for rest of the year, but in winter it almost dries up. The beauty of this forest is bloomed mainly in the rainy season.

    After visit the wonderful clear water forest, drive back to Sylhet and overnight.

  • 6: Sylhet –Dhaka (250 km, 7 hrs drive approx.)

    Morning take a boat ride on Sari River which is coming from Maghalaya, India. The river is surrounded by beautiful scenario. The water is so clean; so you can clearly see the bottom of the river. Then drive to Dhaka.

  • 7: Departure

    Free till transfer to airport for onward destination.
